| Publication of BFRI | | | | | The Institute publishes research findings and reports, annual reports, newsletters, journals, directories, proceedings of conference/seminars/workshops, training manuals, extension materials in the form of booklets, leaflets and posters. The publications are available at the Library and Documentation Center as well as at different regional stations and sub-stations of the Institute. The following publications were published during the reporting period: | | | Institute gives special value to publication and documentation of aquaculture and management technologies for their wider adoption. For this reason, extension manuals, leaflets, posters, handouts etc. are well circulated to govt. & non-govt. extension agencies, farmers, entrepreneurs etc. Training manuals are also prepared on client’s demand. Fisheries Newsletter and the Bangladesh Journal of Fisheries Research are being published biannually for documentation of Institute’s activities and research results. | | | National level awareness programs on diverse aquaculture and conserving biodiversity are the prime objectives of these publications. BFRI always try to enhance the flow of information to farmers at grass-roots level. Library and Documentation of the Institute (FRILDOC) is create a primary database in this regard. It is important to continue to disseminate the information from the database to farmers and to stimulate discussion on how to improve their performance. The channel will be through researchers, extension workers and other appropriate intermediaries. Besides research-based publications, Institute scientists always published research findings in national and international journals for dissemination of research results to scientific community. | View Publications |
